to introduce the world to the picture book, TWO GROOMS on a CAKE. 
This story is told through the perspective of the wedding topper as Michael McConnel and Jack Baker struggle for marriage equality and become the first legally married gay couple in America. The two were wed in 1971 and are still married today.

What a wonderful place to visit! 

In May of 2019, I was lucky enough to visit Ireland and spend time in this library. 

Thanks to the gentleman who oversees security of the library, but also tells stories of the library's history. He was a delight to speak with and the epitome of an Irish storyteller.
